Winemaker Gavin Hogg has carefully selected parcels from a single vineyard
in the heart of Coonawarra to create this outstanding wine from the highly
acclaimed region in South Australia. The wine luxuriates in rich ripe varietal fruit
with hints of licorice and spice with perfectly seasoned oak enhancing a strong wine
with multi layers of complex flavours. Matured for two years in new American and
French barrels, this is a superbly crafted bottle aged wine that will truly demonstrate
the tradition and style of Great Coonawarra Shiraz.

Gavin Hogg “Hoggie” (chief winemaker) has been in the wine industry since 1973.
He has won scores of gold medals and more than 20 trophies with his wines,
mainly from fruit grown on the famous Coonawarra Terra Rossa (“red dirt”).
He won Australia’s most prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy in 1989 whilst with
the Mildura Blass empire as senior red wine maker.
