generous fruit flavours and aromas are the highlights of this wine.
This is Coonawarra at its best. Complexity of flavour and depth of palate
have been enhanced by two years barrel maturation in new French oak.
Further maturation in bottle will be well rewarded. This wine is made from
fruit grown at estate vineyard situated in the heart of the Coonawarra.
Wine Maker: Gavin Hogg
Gavin Hogg “Hoggie” (chief winemaker) has been in the wine industry since 1973.
He has won scores of gold medals and more than 20 trophies with his wines,
mainly from fruit grown on the famous Coonawarra Terra Rossa (“red dirt”).
He won Australia’s most prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy in 1989 whilst
with the Mildura Blass empire as senior red wine maker.
